When most of us think of Hilary Duff, we think of iconic, early 2000s TV and film, from Lizzy McGuire to A Cinderella Story to Cheaper by the Dozen. But in more recent years, the 36-year-old actress has taken on a new role: mother. With three children, Duff has dedicated a most her time to raising her kids, but just today, the star revealed that becoming a mom inspired a whole new endeavor: a home-fragrance line, Below 60º.Below 60º: What To Know About Duff’s Fragrance Venture
“Home is my happy place,” Duff wrote in her Instagram announcement for her brand, “That’s why I’m so excited to launch Below 60º, a line of natural home fragrance products that you can feel good about bringing into your space.” The 100% natural air fragrance line features devices designed to complement the home, office, and more.“Becoming a mom meant becoming more conscious and cautious about the products I use—so we’ve gone to the ends of the earth to develop unique, 100% natural fragrances from responsibly sourced ingredients,” Duff explained, “I can’t wait to share them with you. They’re fresh and fantastic and so much fun.”
Below 60º features a flagship plug-in product line with three natural scents: Mint Disco on Ice, If Citrus Were a Feeling, and Vanilla Buys a Timeshare in Paradise. The line also includes a subscription option for $29.97 which includes a Free Plug-in Fragrance Diffuser and three fragrance refills, adding up to a 3-month supply of fragrance.

Duff, a self-professed “perfume gal,” felt the classic wall plug-in home fragrance was overdue for a fresh updateHilary Duff joined the team at Below 60° because she wants a scent to “reflect my mood, and who we are as a family—but also to cover up certain scents, like my preteen’s closet with all of his shoes, and our dog room.”
Hilary Duff is a scent person. She’s always loved the gentle perfume of a candle and believes in the vibe-setting powers of their soft glow, but at this point in her life, the breakable, flammable home decor item is so yesterday: “I have three kids now and a 130-pound dog, and not having candles lit like I used to when I was younger is just something that I think about,” she tells AD. “My kids are constantly blowing out candles and dipping their fingers in the wax, and then we’re crying. But I still want to have that ambiance in my home and I want it to smell fresh and to reflect my mood.”
Her solution to the problem?
An actual liquid solution, one comprised of a combo of all-natural essential oils that plugs into your wall. Duff is a chief brand director for Below 60°, a line of home fragrance products out now. Among the offerings are the main diffuser plug-in and three cheekily named scents (“The titles are really playful… I’m inspired, I’m such a sucker for good marketing,”) that Duff hopes will bring a smile to consumers’ faces, as well as a fresh smell to their dwellings. Between chasing after her three kids, getting her LA home all set for the holiday season, and preparing for the release of her second children’s book (a tribute to her son Luca called My Little Sweet Boy), Duff sat down to chat exclusively with AD about her first foray into the home fragrance arena.

Amerikaanse streamingsdienst Hulu heeft ‘How I Met Your Father’ na twee maanden gecanceld. Een precieze reden is niet gegeven, wel is er binnen Disney waar de streamingsdienst Hulu onderdeel van is een bedrijfsbrede bezuiniging gaande.
De cast heeft zelf niet gereageerd op het nieuws, de acteursstaking die nog gaande is hier hoogstwaarschijnlijk de rede voor. Als onderdeel van de staking mogen acteurs projecten niet in de media bespreken of promoten. De produc

De laatste screencaptures van het tweede seizoen van ‘How I Met Your Father’ staan in de galerij. Het is nog niet bekend wanneer het tweede deel van het seizoen precies op Disney+ in Nederland verschijnt.
Ook is er nog geen nieuws bekend over een derde seizoen. Door de huidige staking zijn alle onderhandelingen voor projecten voorlopig van de baan en de schrijversstaking kan mogelijk ook invloed hebben op de keuze van het netwerk Hulu om de serie te vernieuwen of niet. Vrijwel zeker staat vast dat mocht de serie vernieuwd worden het enige tijd kan duren voordat deze te zien zal zijn voor fans.

Hilary heeft afgelopen week meegelopen in de staking van de Amerikaanse acteursbond SAG-AFTRA Actors Union in L.A. Dit deed ze samen met ‘How I Met Your Father’ collega’s Tien Tran en Francia Raísa. Afgelopen week kondigde de bond een staking aan volgend op de nog lopende staking door de schrijvers. Hiermee willen ze o.a. afspraken over de inzet van A.I. en betere contracten afdwingen bij de grote filmstudio’s. Doordat series en film o.a. makkelijker gestreamd kunnen worden lopen de acteurs inkomen mis en kunnen vele mensen in de filmindustrie niet meer rondkomen.
Als gevolg van de staking zijn alle opnames van films en series stilgelegd en zullen acteurs hun projecten niet promoten in de media.

Hilary Duff is giving an inside look at her recent approach to fitness.
In her cover story for Shape, the How I Met Your Father actress, 35, opened up about maintaining an active lifestyle, sharing that she’s recently taken up playing tennis once a week with her husband Matthew Koma.
“I’m really loving that escape and that little break,” she said. “It’s a really complex game, and it’s hard to think about other things when you’re playing. It kind of drowns out all the buzzing in my head.”
In addition, the mom of three said she tries to squeeze three or four weekly gym sessions into her busy schedule.
Relying on her personal trainer Dominic Leeder to hold her accountable, Duff admitted that working out alone has never worked for her, joking about how the treadmill in her bedroom doubles as a clothing rack.
